Membership Renewal

On behalf of the Committee, THANK YOU for your support and continuing participation.

Our focus is this magnificent breed in its entirety: showing, breeding, lure coursing, fun days, get-togethers and walks in various parts of the country.
We provide for all Irish Wolfhound owners throughout the island of Ireland, both show dogs and pets. Most importantly we want to make people aware of health issues and
correct diet to ensure that this breed continues to flourish. Your renewal is VITAL to accomplish the many important services provided through the Society and its continued membership
in the Irish Kennel Club.

With your help, we have had many fun days and meetings. With your help, we have had many well-attended coursing events. With your help, we have maintained perhaps the busiest, well-read and informative breed club internet website in Ireland.
With your help, we will continually develop through the year and beyond. We’re proud of what we’ve been able to do and we could not have done it without you!

Introducing Our Judge

Ron James grew up in a household where Bullmastiffs were bred and exhibited and following completion of his studies to become a veterinary surgeon he established the Jasmorne kennel of Pointers in 1978 and added Basenjis in 1989.

Ron has bred/owned and exhibited champion Bullmastiffs, Pointers and Basenjis including
multiple group and best in show winning Pointers.

Ron has been judging since 1969 and is approved by the Kennel Club to award Challenge Certificates to more than 50 breeds drawn from the Gundog, Hound, Working, Pastoral and Utility groups as well as Best In Show and the Gundog, Hound and Working Groups.

Ron has been awarding Challenge Certificates to Irish Wolfhounds at UK Championship shows since 2010 and is very much looking forward to judging the breed in its country of origin.
